We had the notion that we would breed Fancy Guppies which have been getting harder and harder to find around here because they just aren't very hardy due to excessive inbreeding. It didn't work out very well and we gave up after 8 months or so.
These tanks have become rearing and grow out tanks for our various species of fry.
This tank has mostly served a a grow out tank for a number of our Parrot Cichlid fry.

For some strange reason we thought it would be a great idea to intentionally spawn the parrots. They liked their private 15 gallon condo, but we cam to our senses and moved them out after a little while. By November of 2001 this tank belonged to broods of little Parrots, we were overrun. We finally moved the last of them out of there and into the 20 Long in December of 2002. They really are great fish. They survive anywhere and get along with anyone. They're fun to watch and easy to care for. image/jpeg, 1149x542 (24bit) 15G-parrot_11-19-01.jpg   177798 bytes |
