75 Gallon 'Barb' Living Room Aquarium Photos
We still call it the 75 "Barb" because it was initially stocked mostly with Tiger and Rosy Barbs, but has become more of a general community tank since then.
When we watch television in the living room this tank gives us something to watch during the network greed breaks as it is only a couple of feet over to the right.

Over saturated shot of a colored up female Parrot and a male Rosy Barb on March 5, 2001. They really do look just about this colorful (both) when they are ready to spawn (with their own species ;) image/jpeg, 800x795 (24bit) img_0209_03-05-01.jpg   144420 bytes |

Side view of the ledge on the 75 Barb. Note the closed cell foam in front of the forced-air duct. I used the other left over twisted door for the wintertime stand door with a big opening for the hot air from the duct. It was the only way to put a 4 foot long tank in this location using an enclosed stand. image/jpeg, 600x450 (24bit) img_0261_03-08-01.jpg   52758 bytes |

We had a set of twisted stand doors replaced by All-Glass so I used the boards to make some handy ledges for holding food and supplies on the two 75's. image/jpeg, 600x450 (24bit) img_0260_03-08-01.jpg   50532 bytes |

After we moved some of our Convict/Severum Parrots into the 75 Barb tank they spawned without our being aware of it. We found a bunch of eggs in the process of becoming hatchlings in the water change buckets. image/jpeg, 395x323 (24bit) img_0252_03-08-01.jpg   24671 bytes |
