This is our 10 gallon fry tank which has 40+ one month old Tiger Barbs and 21 one month old Electric Yellow Labido African Cichlids.
There are also a few Blue Spotted Platies, a single female Guppy fry, a small Pleco and some Aenus Cory Cats sharing this tank.
We use this tank for the first grow-out/nursery tank after the fry are old enough to be moved from a spawning tank.
Obviously I need to practice the close-ups, but hey, the ornament is clear!

This is a clearer shot of the one month old Tigers in the 10 gallon "Baby Tank".
You can see a few Electric Yellows in the background.
The little Labidos were stripped from the female 6 days ago. That was the first time I have stripped a mouthbrooder, boy was I surprised when over 20 fry started streaming out of her mouth!
We housed the yellows in a 2.5 gallon nursery tank until moving them into the "Baby Tank" with the Tigers today. They're just growing like mad and absolutely love brine nauplii!

This is the 10 gallon Barb Nursery. We had to move 40 or so of the fry to the other 10 gallon "Baby Tank" to give them a little more room to grow.
They're still too young for our 75 gallon grow-out tank as it has 20 or so species of 2 to 5 month old fry in it.

This shot of the 10 gallon barb nursery shows a little more perspective.
We used this same tank as the initial spawning tank. The parents got to business less than an hour after introducing the male. Within 24 hours the eggs hatched although the only way you could tell was that they had tails!

This is an overview of our 120 gallon community tank.
The fish are a little motion-blurred because I didn't use any flash, just the existing three 48" AQ lights on the tank to get a better representation of how it actually looks.
The rocks are all from the South Fork of 18-Mile Creek in Western New York. Believe it or not we're planning on collecting more of them soon!

This shot shows a few of the Tigers in one of our 2.5 gallon nursery tanks.
We put 11 of the smallest month old Tigers in here for "special treatment" to help accelerate their growth.
Many breeders cull the runts from the brood and discard them. We prefer to see what we can do with them, when they don't have to compete and are given special attention they can usually outpace their siblings in growth.
We have 5 freshwater "Parrotfish" which were the absolute smallest runts in a tankful of fry at the LFS. They were undoubtedly going to die within days of their rescue.
A scant month later they were far larger and healthier than their less fortunate siblings back at the LFS and currently share space with a bunch of adult Tigers in another 75 gallon tank. We like backing the "Underdogs" :)

This is "Daddy" Labidochromis Caerulus (Electric Yellow Labido) in the 120 with our Blue Three Spot Gourami.
He struts his stuff and is undoubtedly boss of this tank. His crown may be in danger though, we have 25 Labido fry growing like mad and another brood on the way!
