About The Angel Tank
Prior to this becoming the tank for our young Angelfish it was the Barb tank.
The Angels had been in the 75 fry tank and just weren't doing all that great. Too much action I guess. Having to compete for food with some of the other youngsters was just too much for them. Since moving here they have thrived. I had put some young Swordtails in with them but they didn't care for the "intruders" so the Swords were evicted. The Angels are a delight. They remind me of dogs. If you show _any_ attention whatsoever to them all of a sudden they *wag* their little tailfins just waiting for you to give them treats. It's comical.
The substrate is the same as the other tanks only with much smaller sized gravel. There are no large rocks in this tank. They do have a plateau of slate and smaller granite rocks. There is a Cory Park in this tank as well but the Angels don't pay alot of attention to it.
The Occupants
Currently the occupants are 2 Black Laced Angelfish, 3 Leopard Angelfish, 1 Marble Angelfish, 1 Silver Angelfish and 5 Albino Corys who have been spawning over the past few months but I've yet to master being able to successfully hatch their eggs and there are 2 Oto Cats. It won't be long before the Angels are going to need a bigger home. At this stage of the game what's one more tank...... *snicker*
